The Radiation Oncology Center houses some of the world's most advanced radiation technologies within the LCRP. The team is led by Medical Director Dr. John Pablo and Dr. Lorraine Champion.
The Radiation Oncology Center has some of the most advanced tools in radiology, including a four-dimensional (3-D + time) CT scanner used in radiation treatment planning and two four-dimensional radiation treatment systems. The combination of our sophisticated and accurate radiation therapy devices, intense treatment planning and knowledgeable physicians, physicists and technicians are crucial in minimizing and preventing damage to healthy glands, organs and tissues.
Two of our superior diagnostic and treatment machines-both of which deliver four-dimensional precision-include:
The CyberKnife The CyberKnife is the most advanced advanced radiation technology available it's robotic movements allows more accurate targeting of tumors with a more powerful radiation beam to treat previously inoperable tumors.
The TrueBeam The TrueBeam is an advancement on traditonal radiation with a more accurate system to create much shorter treatment schedules.
Hilton Head/Bluffton Radiation Oncology Center We offer a secondary location to treat Hilton Head-area patients. Initial treatment planning still takes place at the main (LCRP) location, but consultation and subsequent appointments and treatments are offered here for your convenience.
Hilton Head/Bluffton Radiation Oncology Center, part of the LCRP, is located on the campus of the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. This radiation facility serves individuals in the South Carolina region with the latest advances in radiation therapy, including the brand new TrueBeam technology.
Hilton Head/Bluffton Radiation Oncology Center is committed to offering compassionate care coupled with technological advances of radiation therapy.
