Dr. Masood Ahmed received his premedical school certificate in Karachi Pakistan and his bachelor’s degree in medicine/surgery from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He did his internal medicine residency at Flushing Hospital and Medical Center, with his last year serving as chief resident. Following that he did his pulmonary fellowship at Brook Army Medical Center at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Harold Black earned a bachelor's degree from Emory University and a doctor of dental surgery degree from Emory University School of Dentistry.
Black has been in private practice for 51 years, is a visiting lecturer at Armstrong State College and is the recipient of a number of honorary awards, including secretary of medical and dental staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, co-chairman of dentistry for National Academies of Practice and national vice president of the National Association of Hospital Dentists.
Dr. Black has been extensively involved with research, co-authored a number of books and is affiliated with all three major hospitals in Savannah.

Dr. Steven Carpenter graduated cum laude from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. In 1988, he graduated with a doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Carpenter's post-doctoral training included a residency in internal medicine at Emory University, which also included a year as chief resident, and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Lorraine Champion received her medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. After moving to the east coast of the United States, she completed an internship in pediatrics at the University of Maryland and then a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology. Following that she was an associate professor in pediatrics at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and at the Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland in Oakland, California.
She completed a fellowship in radiation oncology at the University of California in San Francisco. After that she was a radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of women with breast cancer at a private practice in Berkley, California.

Dr. Grant Lewis, who joined Summit Cancer Care, P.C. in July 2009, brings to the practice the most advanced studies in cancer care. Dr. Howard A. Zaren received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba Medical School in Winnipeg, Canada. His postgraduate training included a General Surgery Residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas System Cancer Center, M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute.

Since 1988, he has published 57 refereed articles, 93 abstracts and 11 book chapters, and has presented at Regional, National and International venues.
In October of 2008, Dr. Howard A. Zaren was recruited as Medical Director of the Nancy N. and J. C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion in Savannah, Georgia.
